Moscow (HRNW)- The Russian Foreign Ministry has strongly reacted to the recent US and Israeli actions against Iran, labeling them a “major defeat” and emphasizing the urgent need for a diplomatic resolution.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that the US and Israel launched a unilateral, aggressive, and unprovoked attack on Iran on February 28, which resulted in a significant setback. Speaking to Russian radio Sputnik, she emphasized that there is no military solution to the conflict and that attempts to enforce peace through force would only worsen regional instability.
Zakharova stressed that a genuine political and diplomatic process must be initiated immediately, with all parties’ positions taken seriously. She highlighted that lasting solutions are achievable only through negotiations.
Following Russia’s statement, a global debate has emerged on the Middle East situation, with countries calling for ceasefires and diplomatic engagement to reduce tensions.
