Islamabad (HRNW) — Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Mohsin Naqvi met a high-level US delegation led by Ambassador Netely Baker to discuss bilateral cooperation in security, border management, counter-terrorism, and anti-crime initiatives.
Minister Naqvi emphasized the need to enhance training programs and deploy advanced software for FIA, Federal Constabulary, and the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). Discussions also focused on establishing a Center for Transformation Crime and Academy with US support.
Plans were announced to equip border security and coastal guards with modern US technology, enhancing their operational capacity. Minister Naqvi highlighted that NCCIA’s crackdown on illegal call centers, financial fraud, and terrorism funding requires advanced software and strong US-Pakistan collaboration.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Federal Secretary of Interior, DG FIA, Commandant Federal Constabulary, Additional Secretary Interior, DG NCCIA, DG Passport & Immigration, IG Islamabad Police, and other senior officials.
