Pakistan Grappling with Severe Economic, Political and Governance Crises, Says Advocate Hasnain Ali Chauhan

KARACHI (HRNW)-Senior leader of the Insaf Lawyers Forum Karachi Division and prominent legal practitioner, Advocate Hasnain Ali Chauhan, has said that Pakistan is currently facing its worst economic, political and administrative crises, holding the incumbent rulers responsible for what he described as widespread governance failures.

He said the government’s policies had pushed the country into multiple crises, including shortages of petrol, gas, electricity, wheat flour and LPG, while soaring inflation, unemployment and mounting public debt had made life increasingly difficult for ordinary citizens.

Advocate Chauhan maintained that the absence of essential public services, the weakening economy and the continuous rise in the prices of daily necessities reflected the government’s failure to address the country’s pressing challenges. He claimed that millions of families had been pushed into poverty and that, instead of providing relief, the authorities were placing an additional financial burden on the public.

The PTI leader further said that the only way out of the prevailing crises was to uphold the Constitution, ensure the rule of law and respect the people’s democratic mandate. He called for the immediate release of PTI Chairman Imran Khan the restoration of what he described as the “stolen public mandate,” and an end to what he termed incompetent and corrupt governance, arguing that these steps were necessary to restore political stability and revive the country’s economy.

Advocate Chauhan reaffirmed that the Insaf Lawyers Forum would continue its struggle for constitutional supremacy, the rule of law, democracy and the protection of the fundamental rights of the people.
