Washington (HRNW)- US President Donald Trump has welcomed the release of an American citizen by Iran, describing the move as a gesture of goodwill, even as military tensions between the two countries continue for the fifth consecutive night in the Middle East.
In a statement posted on his social media platform Truth Social, President Trump said the American citizen, whom he claimed had been wrongfully detained during the Biden administration in 2024, had been safely released by Iran.
