Islamabad (HRNW)- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced the postponement of its scheduled rally at the request of the government. According to details, the negotiations between the government and the opposition were successful, after which the PTI agreed to postpone the rally.
According to sources, the meeting between the government and the opposition members was held in the opposition lobby of the National Assembly. The meeting was attended by Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar and Raja Pervez Ashraf from the government, while the opposition was represented by Leader of the Opposition Mahmood Achakzai, Barrister Gohar, Aamir Dogar and other leaders.
During the meeting, the government requested the opposition to postpone the rally, which the PTI accepted and agreed to postpone the rally.
Two-day local holiday announced in Islamabad
On the other hand, a two-day local holiday has been announced in the federal capital in view of the talks between Iran and the United States in Islamabad.
According to the Islamabad administration, there will be a public holiday at the local level in the city on April 9 and 10, a formal notification has also been issued. The administration says that the purpose of the holidays is to make security and administrative matters effective.
