FIA Faisalabad Busts Human Smuggling and Forced Begging Network, 2 Arrested

Faisalabad (HRNW) The FIA Composite Circle Faisalabad has successfully apprehended two suspects involved in human smuggling and forced begging operations. The arrested individuals, Muhammad Ismail and Salman Munawar, were taken into custody from different areas of Faisalabad.

Investigations reveal that Muhammad Ismail, in collusion with accomplices, was sending innocent citizens to Malaysia for forced begging. One victim, Khalid Mahmood, was lured with the promise of employment abroad. Upon arrival, he was forced to beg and his return ticket was canceled, leaving him stranded in a hotel room. The victim was later found unconscious and, despite being transferred to a hospital, succumbed to his condition.

FIA acted promptly to arrest Muhammad Ismail, while operations continue to apprehend other agents and facilitators involved in the network. Efforts are also underway to add the suspects to the stop list to prevent further illegal travel.

The second suspect, Salman Munawar, was operating an illegal travel agency, collecting millions of rupees from citizens under the pretense of sending them abroad without a license. During raids, authorities recovered agreements, mobile phones, and stamp papers from his possession.

The suspects are now in custody, and investigations are ongoing to dismantle the human smuggling and forced begging network.
