KARACHI (HRNW): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Javed Alam Odho, presided over a high-level meeting at the Central Police Office to review the operational readiness, capabilities, and facilities of the Quick Response Forces (QRF) across various units of the Sindh Police.
The meeting was attended by senior leadership, including the Additional IGs of Karachi and Operations, as well as DIGs representing Headquarters, Establishment, Security & Emergency Services, Rapid Response Force (RRF), Training, and the East and West Zones.
Key Strategic Decisions
During the session, Additional IG Karachi and DIG RRF provided detailed briefings on the current deployment status and future strategies for the QRF. In light of the current international and domestic security landscape, several key decisions were made:

Heightened Alert: Units including the RRF, Security & Emergency Services, and Zonal QRFs have been placed on high alert to counter potential law enforcement threats.

Equipment and Training: IGP Odho directed that additional forces be immediately equipped with anti-riot gear and modern weaponry. He emphasized that specialized training is essential to ensure rapid deployment to sensitive and high-risk areas.

Command & Control Integration: To minimize response times, the meeting resolved to further integrate the QRF units under a centralized Command and Control system.
