Dr. Farooq Sattar Furious Over Removal of Sindh Governor; Demands MQM-P Quit Coalition Government

KARACHI (HRNW): Senior leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), Dr. Farooq Sattar, has reacted sharply to the removal of Kamran Tessori as Governor of Sindh, terming it a breach of trust by the federal government.

Expressing his outrage, Dr. Sattar stated that the governorship is a constitutional office that has traditionally and contractually belonged to MQM-P. He argued that reclaiming the seat without consensus is a manifest injustice to the party’s mandate.

Dr. Sattar further asserted that after such a unilateral decision, there remains “no justification” for the party to remain part of the ruling coalition. He has formally urged the MQM-P leadership to consider an immediate withdrawal from the federal government.

Political analysts suggest that the appointment of Nihal Hashmi has triggered a fresh crisis within the ruling alliance, potentially threatening the stability of the federal government if MQM-P decides to act on Dr. Sattar’s recommendation.
