ISLAMABAD (HRNW)- Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has stated that the announcement of the recent ceasefire and its immediate implementation represents a major diplomatic success, with Pakistan’s mediation role receiving global acclaim. The Minister credited the proactive efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs throughout this process. He further noted that U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed being in constant contact with the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal during the negotiations.
Attaullah Tarar highlighted that international markets are already showing a positive trend following this diplomatic breakthrough. He assured the public that they would be kept informed of further developments as the Prime Minister has convened a cabinet meeting to discuss various matters, including petroleum products. Regarding the regional petroleum shortage, the Minister emphasized that the government has successfully managed the supply chain during the crisis.
Describing the day as a moment of pride for the nation, the Minister characterized the resolution as a “Battle of Truth” (Ma’raka-e-Haq) that has saved the entire region from a devastating conflict. He noted that while the next 48 hours are critical, Pakistan remains committed to its responsible role in establishing lasting peace. Tarar concluded by mentioning that the Deputy Prime Minister’s diplomatic missions abroad also contributed significantly to this achievement, fulfilling the long-standing vision of Pakistan playing a pivotal role on the international stage.
