Lahore (HRNW – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone has intensified its crackdown on human smuggling networks involved in migrant trafficking and visa fraud. In a major operation, four human smugglers—identified as Tahir Gujar alias, Parvez Malik Qari, Abu Sufiyan, and Tahir Ahmed—were arrested from Lahore and Sheikhupura.
The suspects allegedly defrauded citizens of over PKR 3.45 million by promising employment abroad in countries including the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and Portugal. However, the smugglers failed to deliver on these promises and went into hiding before being apprehended.
Following their arrest, the FIA has initiated thorough investigations to dismantle the wider network and hold all perpetrators accountable. Authorities have emphasized the seriousness of human trafficking and migrant exploitation, warning citizens against fraudulent overseas job offers.
