Peshawar CCTV Operator Arrested for Secretly Filming Women at Hospital

Peshawar (HRNW) – Authorities have arrested Imran, a CCTV operator at a local hospital, for secretly filming women and attempting to extort them.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) acted swiftly after receiving a complaint from a victim, uncovering a dangerous blackmail network. The suspect tricked a woman with a fake marriage proposal, obtaining private images and videos, and demanded 2 million PKR in ransom. He also sent inappropriate videos to the victim’s brother-in-law and recorded statements as part of the blackmail scheme.

The NCCIA arranged a covert meeting at Tatara Park, where the suspect was arrested on the spot. During the arrest, authorities seized an iPhone 12 Pro Max, WhatsApp chats, and multiple secret videos of women. Investigation revealed that Imran worked as a CCTV operator at PIC Hospital, giving him access to the women’s ward where the videos were recorded. A serious case has been filed against him under relevant laws.
