PPP Leader Fatima Majid Visits Fishermen Affected by Fire in Razaqabad, Provides Immediate Aid

Karachi, Pakistan (HRNW)- Fatima Majid, Chairperson of the Fishermen Cooperative Society and President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Ladies Wing, Malir, visited the homes of fishermen families in Razaqabad that were destroyed in a recent fire. She personally inspected the damaged houses, fishing nets, and other belongings, expressing deep sorrow and concern for the affected families.

During the visit, Fatima Majid also visited the injured fisherman Sikandar Mallah to check on his health and well-being.

Affected fishermen, including Umar Mallah, Sikandar Mallah, Arshad Ali, Saddam Hussain, and Ali Akbar, told her that the fire broke out unexpectedly around 4:00 AM, destroying their homes, fishing nets, food supplies, and all household belongings. They explained that they normally carry their nets early in the morning to the sea near Port Qasim to earn a living and support their families, but after the fire, their livelihoods were completely lost.

Fatima Majid expressed full solidarity and empathy with the victims, providing immediate financial assistance and instructing relevant authorities over the phone to ensure that affected families are provided with fishing nets and essential supplies immediately.

Also present during the visit were Bano Khan, Senior Vice President of PPP Malir, and staff from the Fishermen Cooperative Society, accompanying Chairperson Fatima Majid.
