Hyderabad (HRNW)- Dr. Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair, President of Jamiat Ulama-e-Pakistan and Milli Yakjehti Council Pakistan, while addressing a large Friday congregation, declared the false case registered in Gojra, Punjab against a muezzin for reciting Durood and Salam as a clear violation of Islam, the Constitution of Pakistan, and fundamental human rights.
He warned the Punjab government that it must come to its senses because a system based on oppression and injustice cannot continue for long. Reciting Durood and Salam is a centuries-old religious and spiritual practice of the lovers of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, and any restriction or legal action against it will never be accepted.
He stated that the courageous people of Pakistan will raise their voices at every level for the protection of religious freedom. Filing false and baseless cases against the muezzin is an act of cruelty and an attack on religious liberty. This case should be immediately withdrawn, and those who targeted the muezzin and initiated this action must be arrested and brought to justice according to the law.

He made it clear that any conspiracy to sideline the Ahl-e-Sunnah will never be allowed to succeed. If any attempt is made to ban the recitation of Durood and Salam in mosques, then every square, every neighborhood, and every alley will resound with the voices of Durood and Salam, because Durood and Salam are an essential part of a Muslim’s faith, and any effort to suppress them will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
At the end of his address, a special prayer was offered for peace, unity, and religious harmony in the country.
