Wang Yi will first visit Saudi Arabia, followed by scheduled visits to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Jordan.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that the visit will take place from December 12 to 16, during which Wang Yi will hold high-level meetings with the foreign ministers of all three nations.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Gu Jiaqun said the visit is expected to further enhance political trust and strengthen cooperation between China and the Middle Eastern countries.

Though the full agenda has not yet been disclosed, diplomatic sources indicate the talks will cover regional stability, bilateral relations, and shared strategic interests. China is also expected to push forward its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in the Middle East—a major global infrastructure plan launched under President Xi Jinping.

It is worth noting that China played a pivotal role in brokering the 2023 restoration of diplomatic ties between Saudi Arabia and Iran, highlighting its increasing influence in Middle Eastern diplomacy.
