Abu Dhabi (HRNW)– The prices of petrol and diesel have been increased in the United Arab Emirates for the month of December, according to the UAE Fuel Price Committee. The revision reflects fluctuations in global crude oil prices and broader economic factors.
The price of Super 98 petrol has been raised from 2.63 to 2.70 dirhams per liter, while Special 95 petrol has increased from 2.51 to 2.58 dirhams per liter. Similarly, E-Plus 91 has gone up from 2.44 to 2.51 dirhams per liter, and the price of diesel has risen from 2.67 to 2.85 dirhams per liter.

Fuel prices in the UAE are revised monthly in accordance with international market trends. Despite a slight increase of around one percent in global oil prices during the final week of November, the market overall remained under pressure for the fourth consecutive month.
The latest hike reflects renewed upward pressure in December, especially after a brief decline in November. Historically, Super 98 petrol peaked at 2.77 dirhams in October, while the highest rate in 2025 was recorded in February at 2.74 dirhams. Prices hit a year-low in April at 2.57 dirhams per liter.
Since the UAE deregulated fuel prices in August 2015, monthly revisions have been directly tied to global crude market movements.
On the other hand, petrol prices in Pakistan have been reduced for the current month and remain effective until December 15, unaffected by the UAE adjustment.
