KARACHI (HRNW): The Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF) has officially declared that the upcoming holy month of Ramadan will be observed under the theme “Ramadan with Palestine.” During a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Thursday, February 26, 2026, political and religious leaders announced a nationwide series of events to express unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people amidst the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
The campaign will feature an extensive lineup of activities across Pakistan, including seminars, protest rallies, and awareness drives. A primary goal of the foundation is to highlight the current situation in Gaza and the Palestinian struggle for independence. Key upcoming events include a “Solidarity with Palestine Conference” scheduled for March 1 at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, alongside various photo exhibitions organized by university students to document the resistance.
A central point of the announcement was the observance of Al-Quds Day on the last Friday of Ramadan (Jumatul Wida). The PLF leaders, joined by representatives from the MQM, PTI, PML-N, PPP, and various religious organizations, urged the Pakistani government to officially patronize Al-Quds Day gatherings. They called for a unified strategy among Muslim nations to sever diplomatic and trade ties with Israel and emphasized that the “Right of Return” for Palestinian refugees is a non-negotiable right recognized by the United Nations. The leadership concluded by appealing to the public to participate in large numbers in Al-Quds Day processions to send a strong message of support from Pakistan to the besieged people of Palestine.
