Karachi (HRNW) — Syed Hasan Naqvi has released the price monitoring report for the first four days of Ramadan. According to the report, during city-wide operations against price gouging, fines exceeding PKR 3 million were imposed, and more than 15 profiteers were arrested.
The Commissioner stated that regular price checks are being conducted in all major markets across Karachi to ensure citizens have access to essential food items at government-approved rates. Most inspections were conducted in Central District, followed by Malir District.
He emphasized that providing relief to the public during Ramadan is a top priority for the district administration, and operations against price gouging and hoarding will continue uninterrupted throughout the holy month.
