KU Announced Schedule For Syndicate Elections

Karachi (HRNW)– The University of Karachi issued the schedule for the Syndicate elections from the constituency of one university officer as well as from the teachers’ constituency.

The notification issued by the KU Registrar Professor Dr Imran Ahmad Siddiqui, elections to the Syndicate of the University of Karachi from one university officer of the administration side, one professor, one associate professor, one assistant professor, and one lecturer will be held at the KU’s Chinese Teachers Memorial Auditorium on Thursday, January 08, 2026.

According to the provisional list for the seat of one officer, Dr Syed Faisal Hashmi, Muhammad Musharraf Hussain, Naseem Ahmad, Muhammad Rashid Ali Qureshi, Arman Ahmad, and Muhammad Hassan Khan had submitted their nominations.

For the seat of one professor, Professor Dr Muhammad Harris Shoaib, Professor Dr Muhammad Ali, and Professor Dr Anila Amber Malik have submitted the documents. Dr Mohsin Ali and Dr Muhammad Ayaz will contest for the seat of associate professor and for the seat of assistant professor, Dr Nida Ali, Dr Syed Shah Hassan, and Syed Ghufran Alam are the candidates.

On the seat of the lecturer, Dr Kashif Riaz, Syed Naseer Akhter, and Shumaila Samad Khan are participating in the elections.

The last date for the withdrawal of candidates is Thursday, January 01, 2026, till 1pm, and the final list of the candidature will be placed on the same day at 4pm.
