Dadu: Ten Police Officers Sentenced to Prison for Fake Encounter

Dadu (HRNW)- In a significant verdict, a Sessions Court in Dadu sentenced 10 police officers, including the SHO of B-Section Police Station, to seven years in prison for their involvement in a fake police encounter.

The case, dating back to 2022, involved allegations that the officers had killed a man in a staged encounter. The complaint was originally filed by the mother of the deceased against the police personnel of B-Section Police Station.

In addition to the prison sentences, the court imposed fines: Rs. 1 million on the SHO and Rs. 100,000 on the ASI.

According to police sources, all the convicted officers fled the courtroom after the verdict was announced. Authorities have stated that efforts are underway to apprehend them soon.

This landmark ruling underscores the need for accountability within law enforcement and serves as a reminder that extrajudicial actions will face legal consequences.
