KARACHI (HRNW): In compliance with the orders of the Sindh High Court under Constitutional Petition No. 6231 of 2022, the State and Enforcement Department of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) launched a large-scale operation against illegal encroachments. The action targeted commercial plot number SB 3/1 in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 11, Scheme 36, where unauthorized structures were completely demolished using heavy machinery.
The operation was led by Director State and Enforcement Shakil Siddiqui, under the direct supervision of Director General KDA, Asif Jan Siddiqui. Police personnel provided extensive support to maintain law and order throughout the process. Other key officials in attendance included the Assistant Commissioner Gulshan-e-Iqbal, SDPO Gulshan-e-Iqbal, SHO Shahrah-e-Faisal, and additional directors from the State and Enforcement department.
DG KDA Asif Jan Siddiqui stated that illegal encroachments remain a significant hurdle in improving Karachi’s infrastructure and restoring civic amenities. He reaffirmed that the KDA will continue indiscriminate operations against such violations to restore the city according to its original master plan.
