Karachi Transgender Activist “Pinky” Robbed, Suspects Arrested

Karachi (HRNW) Even in Karachi, transgender individuals are not safe. The well-known transgender activist Pinky, also known as Khubsurat, was robbed by armed assailants in Orangi Town. A case has been registered at the Orangi Town Police Station.

According to police officials, the suspects were tracked and apprehended using CCTV footage and geofencing technology. A major operation in Baloch Goth by a heavy contingent of Orangi police led to the arrest of both culprits.

Authorities recovered PKR 80,000 in cash, a firearm, and an iPhone from the suspects. Police said Pinky’s group was on their way from Defence to an event in Orangi Town when the assailants stopped their vehicle on Manghopir Road and committed the robbery.

The arrested suspects have been handed over to investigative authorities for further questioning.
