Kabul (HRNW)– Afghan Scholars Issue Joint Declaration Against Military Operations Abroad

A major meeting of over a thousand scholars, political, and religious leaders was held at Kabul University, where a joint declaration was issued prohibiting all military activities abroad. The declaration stated that anyone conducting military operations outside Afghanistan would be considered a rebel and sent a clear message to the Afghan government to ensure its territory is not used against other countries.
The Afghan scholars emphasized the protection of Afghanistan’s sovereignty and called for strict measures to prevent foreign military activities. This declaration aligns with Pakistan’s longstanding demand that Afghan soil not be used against Pakistan, although previous talks with the Afghan Taliban in Istanbul failed to secure a written guarantee.
The announcement is seen as a significant development for both Afghanistan’s internal security and Pakistan-Afghanistan relations, highlighting the need for strong measures to safeguard peace and sovereignty. Afghan media have widely covered the declaration, describing it as a turning point in the country’s political and security strategy.
