Tehran / Geneva (HRNW)- An Arab diplomat has revealed that Iran has presented the United States with a proposed draft of a new nuclear agreement, offering significant concessions regarding uranium enrichment.
According to the diplomat, Iran has proposed reducing its uranium enrichment level from 60 percent to 3.6 percent under the suggested framework. The proposal also reportedly includes an offer to suspend nuclear enrichment activities for a period of seven years in the future as part of confidence-building measures.
Meanwhile, Israeli media reports indicate that the United States is not currently insisting on zero percent enrichment. Instead, Washington is said to be urging Iran to transfer its existing stockpile of highly enriched uranium out of the country as part of a potential agreement.
The reported developments come amid ongoing diplomatic engagements and renewed efforts to ease tensions surrounding Iran’s nuclear program, with Geneva once again emerging as a key venue for discussions.
