KARACHI (HRNW): In a blatant violation of urban planning laws and civic rights, reports have surfaced regarding the illegal construction of a wedding hall on land specifically reserved for a hospital in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Block 3A (ST-1).
Sources allege that the construction is proceeding under the purported patronage of the concerned Executive Engineer (XEN) and Director, raising serious questions about institutional corruption and the misuse of authority. The illegal conversion of a healthcare site into a commercial event space has sparked outrage among residents, who are questioning how such a project received approval and why regulatory bodies remained silent.
Demands for Immediate Action
Public circles and local residents have called upon the Director General (DG) of the relevant authority to take immediate notice of the situation. They have put forward the following demands:

Seal and Demolish: The immediate sealing and subsequent demolition of the illegal wedding hall structures.

Accountability: Stringent legal action against the officers allegedly facilitating this violation.

Restoration: The recovery and restoration of the plot for its original purpose—the establishment of a public hospital.
