QUETTA (HRNW): The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle has successfully conducted a strategic operation against the trade of counterfeit currency, resulting in the arrest of a suspect identified as Muhammad Awais Khan during a coordinated trap raid. Authorities recovered counterfeit notes amounting to Rs. 137,000 from his possession, an act revealed to be part of a larger scheme damaging the national economy. Following the arrest, the FIA registered a formal case and initiated further investigations to trace the origins of the forged bills. FIA Balochistan officials reaffirmed that their crackdown on financial crimes remains relentless, emphasizing that the noose is tightening around elements threatening the country’s monetary stability.
