CM Maryam Nawaz Raises Agriculture Interns’ Stipend to Rs70,000, Launches Major Agri Reforms

Lahore (HRNW)- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced a great news to the youth and increased the monthly stipend of agriculture interns to Rs 70,000.

According to the details, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, in which the Punjab Chief Minister decided to connect the youth with agriculture and approved the Agriculture Interns Ab Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar program.

The intelligent youth of Punjab will now lead the agricultural revolution with full confidence, Maryam Nawaz also approved increasing the monthly stipend of agriculture interns to Rs 70,000.

The meeting decided to introduce a rooftop hydroponic project for the first time in Punjab, 280 to 350 plants can be planted on a 2 marla roof

More than 10 types of vegetables can be grown on the roof by making polythene sheets and a special structure.

In addition, 10 pilot projects of the scheme will be launched in Lahore, in this regard, it has been decided to contact housing societies.

A solarization scheme of 10,000 diesel tubes was also approved across the province to make agriculture environmentally friendly, while a target of providing 28,000 super seeders by 2028 was also set under the Punjab Agriculture Mechanization Project.

The meeting approved the fourth phase of the CM Green Tractor Program. In the Green Tractor Program Phase Four, a subsidy of Rs. 1.5 million will be given on high-horsepower tractors, while the subsidy for low-horsepower tractors has been increased from Rs. 500,000 to Rs. 700,000.

Along with this, a project to build a ground recharge well for on-farm rain harvesting will be introduced for the first time in Punjab. A system of pouring rainwater into the well through the ground recharge well will be installed.
