Military-Led Elections Condemned as Rights Violations Continue

Yangon – Myanmar (HRNW)– Myanmar’s military-led elections have drawn sharp criticism from international observers, who say the process lacks credibility and transparency. Opposition leaders remain imprisoned or barred, while voters face intimidation.

Human rights organizations say the vote is being used to legitimize continued military control rather than reflect the will of the people. The humanitarian crisis in the country continues to worsen under authoritarian rule.

Stand with victims of repression.
