Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s Message on International Civil Aviation Day

Lahore (HRNWW) — On the occasion of International Civil Aviation Day, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized the vital role of aviation in promoting economy, tourism, and public connectivity.

She stated that the Punjab government is committed to providing modern air travel facilities, and a proposal for the establishment of a Punjab-based airline is currently under review. Highlighting the transformative power of aviation, she said that air travel has turned the world into a “global village”, effectively reducing distances.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif also commended Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for his visionary efforts to restore PIA’s lost stature. As a result of his strategic leadership, PIA has been granted permission to operate flights in Europe, marking a significant achievement for Pakistan’s aviation sector.

The Chief Minister concluded by stating that the development of aviation is key to economic growth, tourism, and public convenience, and the Punjab government will continue to invest in modern air travel infrastructure.
