Brussels – Belgium (HRNW)– The European Union has classified asylum claims from seven countries—including Bangladesh, Egypt, and Tunisia—as “safe,” streamlining deportations.
Rights organizations warned the policy could endanger asylum seekers fleeing persecution, saying it undermines Europe’s commitment to humanitarian protection.
