Karachi (HRNW)– In a successful operation based on a confidential tip-off, the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC), Orangi One Division, eliminated Khalid alias Khaldi, a wanted criminal involved in dozens of car and motorcycle thefts across Karachi and Punjab.
Khalid, a resident of Layyah District, Punjab, was reportedly wanted in 55 criminal cases under charges including vehicle theft, forgery, weapons violations, and other serious offenses. Authorities recovered a stolen Toyota Corolla, firearms, and ammunition during the encounter in Sher Shah, Karachi.
Police said Khalid led a well-organized criminal network, responsible for stealing vehicles in multiple cities and reselling them. He had been actively operating in both Sindh and Punjab, eluding authorities for years.
A list of the registered cases against Khalid spans several districts including Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Muridke, and surrounding areas, covering offenses under Sections 381-A, 411, 392, 413, 420, 468, 471, and the Punjab Arms Ordinance 1965. Investigations are ongoing to trace additional criminal links and recover stolen property.

SSP Amjad Ahmed Sher, AVLC, CIA Karachi, confirmed the operation, stating that law enforcement remains committed to dismantling organized criminal networks and ensuring public safety.
