FIA Thwarts Attempted Travel Abroad with Forged Passports at Islamabad Airport

Islamabad (HRNW) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) successfully prevented two passengers from traveling abroad using forged travel documents at Islamabad International Airport.

The passengers, Amin Khan and Habibullah, both from Peshawar and Buner, were scheduled to fly to Malaysia on an international flight. During routine checks, authorities discovered that their passports contained fake departure and arrival stamps, indicating prior entry and exit from Malaysia.

The FIA immediately offloaded the passengers and handed them over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, Islamabad for further legal proceedings. Investigations are ongoing to determine if the forgery attempt is linked to broader human trafficking or criminal networks.
