Islamabad (HRNW)- The Federal Bureau of Statistics has released a weekly report on inflation in the country, according to which the inflation rate recorded a 0.24 percent increase on a weekly basis, while the annual inflation rate has decreased to 3.75 percent.
The report states that 17 items have become more expensive during the week, while the prices of 14 items have decreased.
According to the data, chicken has become more expensive by Rs 40.34 per kilogram, eggs have become more expensive by Rs 10.31 per dozen, and firewood has become more expensive by Rs 12.35 per maund. Similarly, lentils and moong have become more expensive by Rs 1.17 per kilogram, while yogurt, fresh milk, mutton and dry milk are also among the items that have become more expensive.
On the other hand, tomatoes became cheaper by Rs 9.1 per kg, potatoes decreased by Rs 5.08 per kg, and the price of sugar decreased by Rs 7.09 per kg.
The report further stated that diesel, lentils, lentils and LPG cylinders were also among the items that became cheaper, while the prices of 20 items including bread, wheat flour and clothes remained stable.
