Karachi Court Restrains Former Director Asad Ali Shah from Making Statements Against K-Electric

Karachi (HRNW)- The Additional District and Sessions Judge, while pronouncing his decision on K-Electric’s appeal, has restrained former director Asad Ali Shah from making statements against the company and has reinstated the stay order against him.

The court, while suspending the trial court’s December 2 decision on K-Electric’s application, has directed Asad Ali Shah to refrain from harassing the company or damaging its reputation through social media, emails or other means.

The decision further states that the defendants will not be able to create any media platform or online page to affect the company’s reputation.

K-Electric’s lawyer, Barrister Ian Memon, took the position that the campaign run by the former board member is a clear violation of the company’s reputation and confidentiality rules. After hearing the arguments of the parties, the court suspended the trial court’s decision until the next hearing in the interests of justice.

Further hearing of the case has been adjourned until January 8, 2026, in which the court has directed both parties to appear with objections and further arguments.
