Riyadh Sees Rare Snowfall as Unusual Winter Storm Hits Saudi Arabia and Qatar

Riyadh (HRNW)- Unexpected snowfall was reported in various parts of Saudi Arabia and Qatar on Wednesday and Thursday, while cold weather and heavy rainfall disrupted daily life in several cities and surrounding areas, according to Arab News and Khaleej Times.

Khaleej Times reported that heavy rains have been affecting large parts of the Middle East over the past week due to an active low-pressure system. Weather authorities warned that conditions were expected to intensify further on Thursday, with strong winds and thunderstorms forecast across the region.

According to BBC Weather, the storm system is expected to move eastward toward the United Arab Emirates and Qatar by nightfall, potentially bringing more severe weather conditions.

The unusual weather has raised concerns among residents, as snowfall and intense rain are rare phenomena in many parts of the region.
