Karachi Police Arrest Suspect in Brutal Murder of Woman

Karachi (HRNW)- The Boot Basin Police have successfully arrested the main suspect in the shocking murder of a woman whose body was discovered near Chaina Port, close to Itwaar Bazaar, on November 25.

The deceased, later identified as Shehnaz, wife of Arshad Gul, was found with severe injuries on her face, hands bound, and visible signs of assault. The case was registered under FIR No. 926/2025 at Boot Basin Police Station under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Using advanced investigative techniques, Boot Basin police conducted a thorough probe into multiple angles of the case. Their efforts led to the arrest of Muhammad Ehtisham, son of Muhammad Sadiq, the central suspect in the murder. During the arrest, the victim’s mobile phone was also recovered from his possession.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to knowing the victim and revealed that a dispute over money had escalated on the day of the incident. In a fit of rage, he attacked her, resulting in her death. He further admitted to damaging her face to destroy evidence before fleeing the scene.

The suspect has been handed over to the Investigation Wing, Boot Basin, for further legal proceedings and a detailed investigation.
