Commissioner Karachi Announces New Official Sugar Prices

Karachi, Pakistan (HRNW) – The Commissioner of Karachi has issued new official prices for sugar in the city. According to the notification, the wholesale price of sugar has been set at Rs. 140 per kilogram and the retail price at Rs. 143 per kilogram.

The notification stated that the new prices will take effect immediately, and strict legal action will be taken against anyone selling sugar above the official rates. Shopkeepers have been instructed to display the official price list prominently to ensure compliance.

The notification also emphasized that the principles of Quaid-e-Azam—faith, unity, and discipline—continue to guide the provision of essential goods, and citizens should receive sugar at the government-mandated rates.
