Lahore, Pakistan (HRNW) – In a heart-wrenching incident in the Shahdara area of Lahore, a stepmother brutally tortured and killed her six-year-old daughter, Kanzal Iman.
According to police reports, DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza took immediate notice of the incident and directed Incharge Investigation Shahdara, Rana Umar Daraz, to lead a special police team to investigate the case and apprehend the suspect.
The accused attempted to flee the crime scene after committing the murder, but was arrested through human intelligence and swift police action, said SP Farhat Abbas. The suspect is now in custody, and further legal proceedings have been initiated against her.
DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza stated that a strong challan (case file) will be prepared to ensure strict punishment for the accused, reaffirming the department’s commitment to dealing with criminals with an iron hand.
Police officials involved in the successful investigation and arrest operation have been awarded commendation certificates for their prompt and effective action.
