Humayun Kabir and Former Cricket Captain Mohammad Azharuddin Honor Mufti Shamail Nadwi

Kolkata, India (HRNW) – Philanthropist Humayun Kabir, who donated Rs. 20 crore for the Babri Masjid, and former Indian cricket team captain Mohammad Azharuddin organized a grand event in Kolkata to honor Mufti Shamail Nadwi. The event attracted a large crowd, with people gathering from all directions just to catch a glimpse of the renowned scholar.

According to media reports, during the program, Humayun Kabir and Mohammad Azharuddin personally awarded Mufti Shamail Nadwi Rs. 1 million as a prize for winning a debate against Javed Akhtar. They stated that the reward was a token of appreciation for his outstanding work and added that all Muslims owe him gratitude for his contributions.

In his speech, Mufti Shamail Nadwi humbly remarked that he is nothing on his own and that Allah has entrusted him with this work, elevating the pride of Muslims worldwide. His words moved the audience to tears, and attendees showered him with flowers and money in admiration.

At the conclusion of the event, Mohammad Azharuddin requested Mufti Shamail Nadwi to promise that he would lead the first Friday prayers once the Babri Masjid reconstruction is completed. Mufti Shamail Nadwi wholeheartedly accepted the request, assuring everyone that the promise would be fulfilled.
