Punjab Orders Reduction in Transport Fares Following Diesel Price Cut

Lahore (HRNW)- Provincial Minister for Transport and Mass Transit Bilal Akbar Khan has directed to reduce transport fares after the reduction in diesel prices.

Provincial Minister Bilal Akbar Khan has directed the officers to issue a list of fares according to the prices of petroleum products and form teams in all districts to reduce transport fares.

In addition, the Transport Minister has directed to take strict action against transporters charging excessive fares and to submit a report to the relevant authorities regarding the reduction in transport fares, while also instructing those who charge excessive fares to return the money to the passengers.

In this regard, the Punjab Transport Minister said that the direct benefit of the reduction in diesel prices will be passed on to the public, and there will be no concessions to those who charge excessive fares.
