Lahore (HRNW)– Police have solved the shocking murder case of DSP Muhammad Usman Haider’s wife and daughter, who went missing on 27 September 2025. The investigation, led by SP Investigation Model Town Ayaz Hussain and a special team under DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza, uncovered that DSP Usman Haider himself committed the murders.

Authorities revealed that after a dispute over a property plot, the suspect shot his wife twice and his daughter once on the night of 25 September 2025, using a private pistol and his official vehicle. He subsequently disposed of the bodies at separate locations in Sheikhupura and near Meela Ram village, and later filed a missing persons report to cover up the crime.
Forensic evidence from the DSP’s house and official vehicle, along with call record analysis, led investigators to link the suspect to the murders. Police stated that the case is being treated as double murder, carrying the death penalty for each killing under the law.
DIG Zeeshan Raza emphasized that no officer is above the law, and a strong challan will be presented in court against the suspect. The victim’s mother has been made the complainant to assist further evidence collection.
