Dir Upper (HRNW)– Acting on the directives of Regional Police Officer Malakand, DPO Dir Upper Aslam Nawaz conducted a surprise visit to Thana Brawal and the highly sensitive Kalpani police post, which borders Lower Dir, to review security arrangements in detail.
During the visit, the DPO inspected CCTV cameras, residential barracks, wireless sets, thermal weapons, night vision devices, and other security facilities at the station and post. SHO Thana Brawal accompanied him during the inspection.

DPO Aslam Nawaz met with on-duty police personnel, listened to their concerns, and issued immediate orders to the relevant authorities for resolution. He instructed the officers: “Ensure the use of bulletproof jackets, helmets, thermal weapons, and night vision equipment for your safety. Monitor the movements of criminals, suspicious individuals, and strangers closely, and remain vigilant at all times to maintain public security.”
