Lahore (HRNW)– Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that only the rightful owner will have possession of every marla, kanal, and acre in the province. Citizens can submit applications regarding land or property possession at the Deputy Commissioner (DC) office, and decisions will be made within days.
In a meeting chaired by CM Maryam Nawaz, officials provided a detailed briefing on the effective implementation of the Property Ordinance. The briefing highlighted that ownership rights of 1,005 families have already been restored within 48 hours. Going forward, women’s land cases will be given top priority across Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz emphasized that a land ownership decision is incomplete until the rightful owner takes possession. “Decisions will not remain on paper; actual possession will be granted. Only the original owner will have possession of every marla, kanal, and acre,” she said. She added that decisions in land cases will be implemented immediately, and no recommendations or political influence will be entertained.
