New York (HRNW)– UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, expressed deep concern over the ongoing Israeli military operations in the occupied territories.
He termed the killing of Palestinians in the West Bank, repeated displacement, and obstruction of humanitarian aid as “unacceptable”. Guterres demanded that all parties fully implement the recent ceasefire and ensure immediate, large-scale humanitarian access to Gaza. He emphasized ending the illegal occupation of Palestinian land and making irreversible progress towards a two-state solution.
According to a UN report, Israeli forces and settlers have killed more than 1,000 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank in the past two years.

Meanwhile, thousands of people rallied in London to express solidarity with the Palestinians. Marching from Hyde Park to Whitehall, protesters raised slogans against Israeli aggression and urged the British government to halt arms sales to Israel. They also called on the international community to guarantee uninterrupted aid access to Gaza.
