Tenant–Landlord Registration in Sindh Made Faster, No Need to Visit Police Stations as Online System Introduced

Karachi (HRNW)- The Sindh government, in collaboration with the police department, has digitized the tenant–landlord registration process across the province, making it fully online and eliminating the need for citizens to visit police stations.

According to officials, under the new online system, landlords can register their tenants from home by following a few simple steps. The initiative aims to provide convenience to citizens while strengthening law and order and improving crime prevention mechanisms.

Police authorities stated that landlords must create an account on the official Sindh Police Tenant Registration Portal. After logging in, they are required to submit the tenant’s basic details, CNIC information, complete residential address, and upload the rent agreement along with copies of identification documents. Once verified, the application becomes part of the police record, and a confirmation message is sent to the applicant via SMS or email.

Officials added that the online registration system will help curb the presence of fake tenants, criminal elements, and illegal residency, while also saving time and resources for both citizens and law enforcement agencies. The system also provides legal protection to landlords in case of disputes.

The police further emphasized that tenant registration is mandatory under the law in Sindh, and failure to comply may result in legal action against the landlord. Citizens have been urged to make full use of the digital system and ensure timely registration of their tenants.
