Peshawar, Pakistan (HRNW)– The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Peshawar Zone has conducted a major operation against illegal hawala transactions, resulting in the arrest of two suspects, Abdullah and Muhammad Nadeem, under the directives of the DG FIA.

The arrests were made through coordinated actions by the Commercial Banking Circle Peshawar and Composite Circle Abbottabad. Abdullah was apprehended in Chakdara, while Muhammad Nadeem was arrested in Battagram.
Authorities recovered PKR 10.2 million from Abdullah and PKR 300,000 from Muhammad Nadeem. In addition, investigators seized mobile phones and other evidence related to hawala operations. Both suspects failed to provide satisfactory explanations regarding the source of the cash.
Investigations are ongoing, and FIA teams are conducting further raids to apprehend other accomplices involved in the illegal financial network.
