Federal Minister Mustafa Kamal Says Pakistan to Surpass Indonesia as Sixth Most Populous Nation in Five Years

Karachi – Pakistan (HRNW)- Federal Minister Mustafa Kamal has stated that within the next five years, Pakistan is projected to overtake Indonesia to become the sixth most populous country in the world.

Speaking at a convocation ceremony at a private university in Karachi, the minister said that nearly 6.2 million children are born every year in Pakistan, reflecting the nation’s rapidly expanding population. He emphasized that while global demographics are shifting, Pakistan must focus on education, character-building, and social ethics to transform its future.

“The world has become a global village,” Kamal noted. “We need education that aligns with global standards — but above all, we need integrity. A person of good character can change an entire society.”

Expressing concern over a lack of moral values in public institutions, the Federal Health Minister remarked, “When I need to appoint people in my ministry, I find no one with good character. Then I have to decide who is the least corrupt among them.”
