Armed Robbers Hold Family Hostage, Steal Cash and Jewelry in Surjani Town

Karachi – Pakistan (HRNW)- In the Surjani Town, Sector 7B, four armed robbers broke into a residence, taking the family hostage and looting valuables including gold jewelry, cash, and other items worth lakhs of rupees. During the incident, two brothers resisted, prompting the robbers to open fire, injuring them.

According to Surjani Police, a case was registered under the complaint of the mother, who stated that she, her sons, and daughters-in-law were at home around 3 PM when the robbers forced entry. The stolen items included gold bangles, lockets, bracelets, rings, a gold chain, as well as cash, wedding envelopes, and new clothing. The total weight of the looted gold was estimated at 7 tola.

The injured sons, Danish and Haris, were immediately taken to hospital for medical treatment. Surjani Police have registered a case against four unidentified suspects under sections 394 and 397 of the law, and the investigation is ongoing.
