Jamshoro (HRNW)– DPEC meeting NiD Dec was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro, Ghazanfar Ali Qadri, to review the preparations for the upcoming polio vaccination campaign scheduled to begin from 15th Dec to 21 Dec.
During the meeting, a detailed review of district-level preparations and the performance of the previous campaign was conducted. On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers that from 15 December to 21 December, all children under five years of age across the district must be administered two drops of the polio vaccine without fail, as the complete protection of children is a shared responsibility.
He also reviewed the progress of the previous polio campaign as well as the ongoing Measles–Rubella (MR) campaign.
Briefing the meeting, District Health Officer Dr. Peer Manzoor Ahmed informed that tomorrow is the last day of the combined Measles–Rubella and Polio campaign, and that the vaccination process is continuing smoothly across the district, with children being regularly administered both vaccines.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Babar Khan Nizamani, NSTOP Officer Dr. Kaleem Shaikh, Assistant Commissioners of all talukas, and officers from relevant departments.
