Awareness Session on Digital Violence, Cybercrime, and Women’s Safety

Hyderabad (HRNW) — The Women Development Department Hyderabad and the Social Work Department, University of Sindh, organized an awareness session as part of the “16 Days of Activism” campaign. The session focused on digital violence, cybercrime, women’s protection, and safe social media usage, with special emphasis on female students.

The session was presided over by Syeda Qurat-ul-Ain Shah, In-Charge Women Complaint Cell, Safe House Jamshoro, with participation from the Chairman of the Social Work Department Syed Faisal Haider Shah, and Professors Aram Shah and Syed Abbas Hussain Shah. Speakers highlighted the importance of educating youth about digital crimes and creating safe educational environments.

Program Coordinator Saif Ali emphasized SPARK’s initiatives for women and girls, including skill development, financial empowerment, and internship programs to prepare youth for practical life.

Syeda Qurat-ul-Ain Shah concluded that women’s safety is a collective responsibility, and raising voices together ensures real change in building a safe digital society.
