“Benazir Bhutto – How History Will Remember Her”, a lecture by Jamshoro University

Jamshoro (HRNW)- Under the auspices of the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Chair of the University of Sindh, Jamshoro, an important lecture program titled “Benazir Bhutto – How History Will Remember Her” was held at the Institute of Sindhology.
At the event, Professor Dr. Syed Jaffar Ahmed, a renowned scholar from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Sohail University Karachi, presented his research lecture, while Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Fateh Muhammad Murry presided over the session.
Delivering his lecture, Dr. Syed Jaffar Ahmed said that Benazir Bhutto’s ideological, creative, and intellectual vision will continue to shine on the horizon of the world’s political history. He added that Benazir Bhutto was a symbol of politics, democracy, and women’s empowerment in Pakistan. History, he said, would remember her not only as a politician but also as a school of thought and a movement.
He further stated that Benazir Bhutto, through her courage, vision, and principles, raised Pakistan’s prestige at the global level; therefore, history will always recall her political struggle with great honor.
In his presidential address, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Fateh Muhammad Murry said that Benazir Bhutto’s name will always remain linked with democracy, struggle, and the promotion of education. She was not only a symbol of hope and courage for the women of Pakistan but for women around the world, he added. History will always regard her ideas and sacrifices with respect and admiration.
Dr. Murry also praised the research work being carried out by the Benazir Bhutto Chair.
Pakistan Peoples Party leader Aajiz Dhamrah said that Benazir Bhutto was a towering name in the struggle for democracy, who bravely fought for the democratic system during the era of dictatorship.
On this occasion, Dr. Rehana Mallah, Director of the Benazir Bhutto Chair, thanked the guests and said that the Chair would continue organizing such academic lectures to promote research and discussion on Benazir Bhutto’s thought and leadership.
